How to Become a Youth Referee

ALL YOUTH VOLUNTEERS MUST:

Have their own email address --separate from the parent email address used for their Blue Sombrero player registration.  Each Youth Referee must have an email address to register as a Volunteer versus a Player. The volunteer profile will be attached to the parent account.

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION (Step One)

GO TO:  www.ayso120.org, click “Register Now” at top right corner of our region’s web page. Youth  volunteers will need a separate email account than the email account used for the player for Fall Registration in Blue Sombrero. *Why you need a separate email address? Our new system uses email to contact each volunteer. The email address will allow for the Youth Volunteer to sign in to assign themselves games to referee.*

·       You will be directed to several screens where you will need to input your information. Follow prompts carefully.

·       The application is complete when you do your e-signature and click submit.  DO NOT STOP AT THE E-SIGNATURE, YOU WILL NEED TO CONTINUE ON AND CLICK SUBMIT!!! (Your confirmation is an e-mail, welcoming you to Region 120)

·       There is no need to print the volunteer application unless you want to keep a copy for yourself.

·       Check your email. You will receive your AYSO ID number and a link to www.aysotraining.org. Follow given directions to complete Safe Haven and Concussion Training.

·       Our Region’s CVPA (Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate) will generate a report with all registered volunteers.  You will need to, at some point, show a valid picture ID for verification.
